The CNC plasma cutter S-PLASMA 125CNC from the STAMOS Welding Group differs from comparable, manual plasma cutters in two details with which the device can be used for cutting with a CNC cutting system. On the one hand, it has a connector for connecting to the CNC machine. On the other hand, the CNC plasma cutter is equipped with a straight plasma torch that can be guided precisely by the cutting system. 

The flexible CNC plasma cutter from STAMOS  

The STAMOS CNC plasma cutter achieves a duty cycle of 60% with a maximum welding current of 125 A. If you want to cut metals with 100% duty cycle, the cutting current must be regulated below 96.8 A. This means that longer cutting work can be carried out with the CNC cutting system without interruption. The CNC plasma cutter is supplied with 400 V high-voltage current via a 3-phase connection. 

The 5 m long hose package ensures freedom of movement on the CNC cutting machine, even with larger cutting specifications, which, thanks to its high-quality workmanship and flexible properties, creates an optimal connection between the CNC cutting torch and the CNC plasma cutter. 

The powerful CNC plasma cutter from STAMOS can cut a wide variety of workpieces made of steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminium, or titanium. Depending on the metal, it achieves a cutting depth of up to 34 mm at maximum power. With a cutting width of 1.4 mm, material loss is kept to a minimum. 

The setting is correct with the STAMOS CNC plasma cutter 

The clear control panel allows easy handling of the STAMOS CNC plasma cutter. You can set the cutting current continuously from 10 to 125 A using a rotary control, which is shown on a large LED display for direct control. A toggle switch is available for the gas post-flow time, which you can set in three steps to 5, 10 and 60 s. 

If you want to use the CNC plasma cutter without a CNC machine, you must use an angled cutting torch. If so, you will find a toggle switch on the control panel that allows you to select 2-stroke or 4-stroke circuitry for the plasma cutting torch. 

Pilot arc CNC plasma cutter for surfaces such as mesh 

The CNC plasma cutter is activated via a contactless pilot ignition and develops its high cutting performance right from the start. The pilot arc provides clean kerfs and also easily cuts through grilles and grates. Compressed air at 7 bar is required for the plasma arc, which is provided by an external compressor. For the optimal setting of the air supply, you will find a manometer and a reliable pressure reducer in the scope of delivery.

For safe operation, the STAMOS CNC plasma cutter is equipped with a powerful fan that reliably cools the device and ensures optimal air exchange. However, if the operating temperature is exceeded, overheating protection is integrated in the device. As a further safety feature, the device is equipped with overvoltage protection.
